Pollyanne Schreuder Obituary

It is with great sadness that we have to announce that one of our former Partners, Pollyanne Schreuder has died aged 62.

Polly qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1984, having trained at J P Sturge & Sons in Swindon, and returned to her home City of Gloucester in 1988. She was a Founding Partner of ASH & Co when it was established in 1989 and was Managing Partner until her retirement in 2019 although she continued to act as a consultant.

Outside of work, Polly was a an accomplished horsewoman, a Member of the Corporation of GLOSCAT having had a significant involvement in the redevelopment of their estate at Cheltenham and relocation to the new campus site at Princess Elizabeth Way.  She was also a former Chairman of the Gloucestershire Sub-Branch of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, sat as a Panel Member of the Fredericks Foundation and was a Member of the Honourable Company of Gloucestershire.

Polly was responsible for training within ASH and oversaw the development of a number of graduate surveyors through to becoming Chartered Surveyors.
Simon McKeag commented; 'Polly led by example and her strong work ethic and guidance were influential on all those at ASH and we are all still coming to terms with the tragic news. We send our condolences to Henri and their son George.'

Alastair Mylechreest added 'Polly was a well known figure in the Gloucestershire business community. She always put relationships at the heart of any business, and will be sadly missed by all her former colleagues and her many former clients.'
